Exciting News! Blairsville receives $250,000 Transportation Enhancement Grant. Recently the DDA submitted a Transportation Enhancement Grant application to the Georgia Department of Transportation for a streetscape for the downtown square.  
Blairsville Town Square will be closed to traffic during Hometown Halloween 2007 event. Street Map ... Holiday on the Square 2007 continues the tradition. Now it's bigger and better with even more stuff to see and do. Great News! Blairsville is now an official Better Hometown.
The Promotions Committee is ordering tee-shirts, getting ready for the Bluegrass Festival and August 2007 ...
The Design Committee is getting things done! It's harvest time in North Georgia and we're decorating for fall.
New benches on the square in Downtown Blairsville add charm and a place to sit.

Janet Hartman is officially approved by DDA board members on January 11, 2007.
The Great American Clean-up on April 28, 2007 was a great success. Over 50 volunteers showed up to help spruce up our town!
Hartman recognized for hard work and dedication at May 2007 Board meeting. Steps for receiving a “Better Hometown” designation are nearing the final stage.
