The
Blairsville
Cruisers hold
Cruise-Ins
on the Square
in Downtown
Blairsville on
the first Saturday
of every month
from March
through November.
Crowds of car,
truck, and motorcycle
enthusiasts
gather to
see the classic
and antique
automobiles
that are on
display. There
are raffles,
a 50/50 drawing,
and door prizes
with all proceeds
going to local
charities.
The
Cruise-Ins are
a great way
to show off
your special
ride. Many of
the Blairsville
Cruisers are
local
mountain boys
with a love
for classic
autos. They
started the
free Cruise-In
events in order
to have fun
and to benefit
Blairsville
at the same
time. All classic,
antique, muscle,
or special interest
cars, trucks
and motorcycles
are welcome
to participate
in the show.
After
walking around admiring the
large and varied
selection of
shiny cars and
trucks, visitors
enjoy sitting
under the shade
trees. Many
local businesses
keep their doors
open later than
usual for the
event and
provide visitors
with places
to eat and
to shop.
The
Cruise-In car
shows draw visitors
from all around
the southeast. Community events
like the Cruise-Ins
help keep the
downtown area
alive and energized.
People gather
to see old friends
and to make
new ones.
Registration
is free and
entitles car
owners to be
eligible for
drawings and
prizes. For
