The
SEBA Bluegrass
Festival
is held
every
September and
includes live
concerts
on three
stages including
the Union County Historical Courthouse,
Blairsville City Hall, and The Mountain
Life Museum and Heritage Center
with jamming
all around
town! Free & open
to everyone,
the SEBA Bluegrass
Festival promises
a fun-filled,
musical weekend
for residents & visitors
alike.
The
bluegrass festival
features live
performances
on multiple
stages, musical
workshops,
technical workshops,
music-related
vendors, raffles,
and carnival
type food vendors.
Music
Man Sam Ensley
has a great
line-up of
bluegrass
bands scheduled
to play throughout
the two day
festival. Some
of the groups
on the agenda
include the
Barker Brothers
Band, the Collins
Brothers, Highway
76, and Roots
and Branches.
Ensley
first brought
the Southeastern
Bluegrass Association
(SEBA) members
to Blairsville
in 2006. That
festival marked
the twenty-second
Anniversary
of SEBA and
was a huge success.
The event is
now an annual
tradition.
Buddy
and Teresa agree
that the festival
is a perfect
event for Downtown
Blairsville.
Buddy says, “The
SEBA Bluegrass
Festival draws
hundreds of
tourists and
local people
to our beautiful
downtown area.
That means more
business for
the restaurants,
retail shops,
real estate,
and other
businesses.”
Many
people and organizations
help to
ensure that
the SEBA Bluegrass
Festival is
both safe and
fun. The Historical
Society, the
DDA, the City
Council, the
Mayor’s
office, the
Police Department,
the Fire Department,
the Emergency
Management Services,
and many
local businesses
stay busy mapping
out details
such as crowd
management,
traffic control,
marketing, and
advertising.
The
SEBA Bluegrass
Festival draws
visitors to
Blairsville from all over
the southeastern
United States
and beyond.
Bluegrass music
fans say that
Blairsville
is the perfect
spot for musicians
and fans to
gather. Blairsville
is famous for
its hospitality.
Maps and a program
will be provided
to visitors
during the two
day festival.
